Property Description

This house is located south of the pilgrimage town of Vezelay, in the middle of a beautiful scenic landscape. A comfortable house with a separate, recently restored guest house.

Through the front door you enter the spacious kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with all appliances; an oven, electric stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, built-in freezer and a large freestanding freezer. The dining area offers space for a large family.

Through the kitchen you enter the hallway where you find a toilet, bathroom and "broom closet". To the right of the hallway is the entrance to the spacious living room. This living room has a beautiful fireplace and French doors on both sides that open onto the terrace at the front and the terrace at the rear of the house respectively. The space is flooded with light from the double patio doors. From the terrace at the rear you have a magnificent view over the rolling landscape of the Morvan.

Back in the kitchen you reach the first floor via a beautiful wooden staircase. Here you will find two large, one smaller bedroom and, very practical, a second bathroom with sink, shower and toilet.
The house is fully double glazed, has a central heating system and is therefore also well suited for permanent residence. The terrace runs from the front to the back around the house so that you can always have either sun or shade. Next to the house is an attached, large garage and a storage room for garden tools. The entire house has a basement, with 4 large separate basement rooms.

At a little distance from the "main house", there is a quaint guest house. This former baker's house has been transformed into a real Hansel and Gretel house. From the entrance door you enter into the very cozy living room, with sitting area, dining area and kitchen. Really tastefully restored, retaining the original details such as traditional tile floor and beamed ceiling. The kitchen is functional, but modestly furnished. There is also a toilet on the ground floor. On the first floor there are two modest bedrooms and a neat new bathroom. Under this house a beautiful so-called "cave voutée", a vaulted cellar. Behind the house there is a garden from which you share the view with the main house.
A wonderful accommodation where you would like to book another week if you had rented it.

On the other side of the large house is also a beautiful stone house which is now used as a workshop. It could be transformed into a modest guest house or simply serve as a workshop or studio.

The electrical installation of both houses has been renewed recently and the small house has a new septic tank. The property is located in a small village but with enough distance to the neighbors to guarantee your privacy. The access road is for local traffic only. Within walking distance of the house you will find the beautiful castle of Bazoches. For groceries, Corbigny is a 15-minute drive and Lormes about 10 minutes.
In short, a house fit for permanent residence with living kitchen, lounge, three bedrooms and two bathrooms and a large cellar. A guest house with a large living space, two bedrooms and a bathroom. A spacious garage, storage room and workshop.
