The hamlet has half a dozen houses which are non-intrusive and the local village, with boulangerie, bar and restaurant, is a short 5 minute drive away. The main town nearby offers three supermarkets, banking, petrol, hairdressing, restaurants, post office, etc. Access to Tours (with the airport offering Ryan Air flights), Vendome and Le Mans is quick and easy, the latter offering the TGV links direct to Paris and Charles de Gaulle airport amongst other options.
There is a good selection of large towns nearby and the region is a hive of outdoor activity in the summer, including concerts, sports, village brocoants, cycling, kayaking/canoeing, hot air balloon flights and plenty of regular fresh food markets.
