Going, Going, Gone! French Chateau Auction Success
After generating thousands of page views, dozens of enquiries and double-digit bidders, this château opportunity in the glorious Loire Valley is now gone with the deposit secured via our currency exchange partners.
It’s been an interesting auction because it started earlier than previous ones, mainly due to the level of interest and the time of year. I must admit that watching the last 5 minutes of auction activity “live” was riveting, with the clock being reset every time a last-minute higher bid came in.
It’s a bit early to confirm the sale, but a lucky buyer seems to have bagged a gem of a bargain, as Chateau Falloux was previously listed at €3.8M! This is especially true as there’s a large increase in demand and sales of castles and period properties, and a shortage, as you may have noticed.
Well done to the new owners and “chatelain” of Château de Falloux; these château auctions don’t come to the market very often. For those who are still looking, we suggest registering with us so you can stay in touch with our new listings and offers.
