Location and Attractions

Historical Significance

Until the 1900s, Antibes was the only main town between Marseille and the Italian border. This year, the oldest-running jazz festival in Europe celebrated its 50th Anniversary. The prestigious international jazz festival Antibes ‘Jazz à Juan’ will pay tribute to the famous jazz musicians who have performed on the mythical Pinède Gould stage since 1960.

The main program took place over a two-week period in July 2010, with major jazz stars performing at several international jazz festival venues to pay tribute to Antibes’ Juan les Pins Jazz Festival’s 50th Anniversary.
