Check the Following
- Look out for up new EES and ETIAS border rules
- A valid ID or passport for you, your family & pets
- Credit cards - Visa, MasterCard and Amex cards
- Cash - purchase your euros before you leave
- Travel Tickets - check if they need printing
- Official documents – take copies of your proof of address, marital status, birth certificates, proof of employment and bank details in case you want to make an offer.
- Health – French chemists sell the most common healthcare items, but it’s useful to have a basic first aid kit with paracetamol, sun cream, insect repellent, and any necessary medications. Take your European Health Insurance Card (EHIC); it’s free and can be useful if you become ill while abroad. Does your visa require health insurance?

- Mobile phones – check with your provider that you have International options
- Remember to pack European adaptors for charging your phone, tablet, shaver, etc.
- Remember your driving licence, check your insurance policy. Consider European breakdown cover.

Most shops are shut on Sundays and
Bank Holidays. If you arrive on a Sunday (or bank holiday), you will want to pack provisions and daily necessities for the first day/night, particularly if you are travelling with children and pets.
