Find Your Own Dream House in France

YOUR Dream French House

My-French-House is a fully independent family ran business; we believe that buying your French property should be a straight forward process. It's for this reason that Patrick JOSEPH and his team work hard to provide a service that makes finding your dream house in France as easy as possible.  We understand these life changing decisions require perfect timing; and post Covid and Brexit, it's never been more important to have expert advice and guidance on your side, backed by English support.

No Hidden Costs

Every property is listed at the same price as it is in France. There’s nothing extra to pay for the service that we offer. We have partnership arrangements with our network of experienced local bilingual agents, many of which we have been working with since day one, back in 2004 and are more than estate agents or a network, they are like family.

Step by Step

We've put together this extensive property buying guide to explain the entire process, in plain English. We think it’s one of the most comprehensive guides to buying a French property on the internet. You’ll find lots of tips and advice to help you with your search, organise viewings, a make your selection and get through the buying process, step by step.

Discovering your Criteria

Our local bilingual agents are waiting to show you round the best properties that suit your criteria. All you need to do is let us know the properties you want to visit, the date along with your detailed search criteria, we’ll do the rest. Unless you are after a special property, and location, because you know exactly what you are looking and want to get on with it.

Planning your Viewings

Property viewing is exciting but can be expensive and time consuming if not organised efficiently. We’ll ensure that your viewing schedule makes the most of your time and enables you to see suitable properties during your trip while staying safe during these difficult times. If you're in a hurry, it's worth asking if there are videos / virtual tours of properties as more clients are happy buying remotely with the assistance of English speaking notaries and technology.

Putting your Offer Forward

When it comes to making an offer, this can be tricky if you don't speak French and don't understand the rules. This is where our agents and experts really come in their own; we’ll make your offer to the vendor and get the ball rolling for you.

How Much is the Deposit?

There's no deposit to pay until the 10 day cooling off period has expired, after you signed the compromis de vente. Only at this stage will you be asked to pay the deposit, usually 10% of the total purchase amount, to the Notaire, inclusive of the legal fees and received in their escroc account. We can help with great rates and fast currency transfers, talk to our fx partners.

Concluding a Smooth Purchase

Once your offer has been accepted, you will guided through the process by the team and your dedictated agent. This means that you’ll be clear every step of the way until you can say, "At last, I am the owner of my own French House".

Tell us about your plans and start your property search.
