The Médicis Aqueduct at Cachan, with its remaining 17th-century bridge, was constructed by order of Marie de Médici to deliver water from Rungis to the Palais of Luxembourg. This impressive structure stretches 1.6 km, with each arch's center reaching 109 metres in height.
