Property Description

In the Pays de l'Oise Picardie, in an archaeological area 5 km from Breteuil, a bourgeois house from the end of the 19th century is part of a unique heritage and peaceful nature. Access from one of the village streets is via a single wrought iron double-leaf gate and its associated door, surrounded on either side by two outbuildings. These with similar architecture, adorned with bricks and covered with slate, serve as garages, workshops and pyre. The building is immediately revealed in the same way as its common areas giving the whole authenticity and homogeneity. Built in 1877 in double-jointed bricks, with facings, corner pilasters and molded freestone cornices, the main building with a slate roof, rectangular in shape, is built on four levels including a base. From the interior courtyard on gravel, an open staircase leads to the main entrance, facing northeast and surmounted by a canopy. The vestibule, decorated with half-height wooden panels typical of bourgeois houses, gives access to the living rooms. On one side, the bright living room with a wood-burning insert and laminate floor which gives the illusion of a parquet floor, opens onto the southwest facade through a French window, offering as a spectacle, a wooded garden and pool. On the other, a tiled dining room with its wooden panels also halfway up opens onto the fitted kitchen, equipped and furnished with elm wood essences. This one, bathed in light, has two entrances, one facing east and adorned with a glazed awning, the other facing south-west on the garden, thus promoting access to the terraces respectively on gravel ground and on grassy ground. A wooden staircase, between the kitchen and the living room, leads to the first floor with various floor coverings, in this case to a landing followed by a corridor distributing two service bedrooms with washbasins, one of which is an office, two bedrooms and one. bathroom with its shower. A new wooden staircase joins the second level in the attic, offering a panoramic view of the countryside and converted into an independent living space (bar / custom-made elm kitchen, living room with wood-burning insert, bedroom and bathroom). In the basement accessible from the passage operated between the kitchen and the living room, are four semi-underground cellars with basement windows including laundry room, boiler room, storage spaces and storage and aging of the wine. The property offers a pleasure garden made up of fruit trees (apple, pear, cherry, apricot, plum, walnut, vines, olive trees, etc.), a vegetable garden to be rehabilitated, two greenhouses leaned against the wall. 'brick enclosure including a glass roof similar to that of the astonishing circular vegetable garden of the village castle, and a barbecue. An above-ground swimming pool surrounded by wooden slats, with its garden shed made of similar material dedicated to the technical management of the basin, perfects the rustic softness of the whole. A countryside as picturesque as natural that surrounds this place, discreet but full of character, convincing by its authentic village house with restored and ornamented facades, and its walled garden with undeniable charm. Technical characteristics: heating supplied by a pellet boiler, septic tank, optical fiber. Transport and amenities: immediate school, shops and college 5 km, high school 15 km, SNCF station 2 km, Breteuil 6 minutes, Montdidier 15 minutes, A16 15 minutes, Saint-Just-en-Chaussée 19 minutes , Paris Beauvais airport 26 minutes, Beauvais 36 minutes, Amiens 38 minutes by car.
